The Free Shipping Discount feature allows merchants to offer customers full or partial shipping cost coverage in exchange for loyalty points.

Fields and Configuration #

Merchants must configure the following options when creating a shipping discount:

• Shipping Discount Name (Required)
  A label to identify the shipping reward (e.g., “Free Shipping”, “$5 Shipping Discount”).
• Shipping Type(Required)
  Choose one of the following:
  • Free Shipping – 100% of the shipping cost is covered.
  • Partial Shipping – A fixed amount is discounted from the shipping cost (e.g., up to $5 off).
• Discount Amount(Required if Partial Shipping)
  The maximum amount the merchant is willing to cover for shipping.
  • Example: $7 off shipping
• Point Cost(Required)
  The number of loyalty points a customer must redeem to get the shipping discount.
  • If Partial Shipping is selected, the app suggests a point cost based on the merchant’s Reward on orders settings (e.g., $1 = 10 Points).
    • Example: A $5 shipping discount suggests 50 points.
  • The merchant may edit the point cost if they wish to override the suggestion.
  • If Free Shipping is selected, no suggestion is calculated — the merchant must define the point cost manually.
• Minimum Order Value (Optional)
  The minimum order total required to apply this shipping discount.
• Shipping Country Restrictions (Optional)
  By default, the discount applies to all countries.
  Merchants may choose specific countries where the discount is valid.
• Discount Status(Required)
  • Must be set to Active for customers to see and use the discount in their widget.

Example Scenario 1: Free Shipping #

• Type: Free Shipping
• Point Cost: 150 points
• Applies To: All countries
• Minimum Order Value: Not set

Customers can redeem 150 points to get 100% free shipping on any order, regardless of location or total.

Example Scenario 2: Partial Shipping #

• Type: Partial Shipping
• Discount Amount: $6
• Reward on Orders Setting: $1 = 10 Points
• Suggested Point Cost: 60 Points
• Merchant sets Point Cost to: 50 Points
• Countries: United States, Canada only
• Minimum Order Value: $50

Customers in the US or Canada can redeem 50 points to get up to $6 off their shipping cost, but only if their order total is $50 or more.

• All fields are required, except:
  • Minimum Order Value (optional)
  • Country Selection (optional, default is all countries)
• Suggested point cost is only auto-generated for Partial Shipping using the Reward on Orders configuration.
• Shipping discounts must be Active to be visible in the customer widget.
